Education Counsellor is responsible for providing educational guidance and assistance for students by planning schedules, determining appropriate education solutions, recommending courses and universities according to students’ academic qualifications, interests and financial abilities. Counselling should be performed with focus on promotion of UG Partner Universities and delivered via phone, e-mails, one-on-one meetings at the Office, at Fairs, and by presenting at Schools and Universities. An Education Counsellor must follow up and track the advancement of students through all the stages: enquiry, application, conversion, visa support, enrolment, and accommodation.

The role requires a combination of academic advisor and sales/marketing skills in order to deliver a high-quality education guidance while promoting specific universities and converting inquiries into enrolments as per set targets.

General Conditions:

1. Two weeks training will be offered to orient employee with the work of the Company and primary role responsibilities.

2. All staff are expected to attend all fairs the company organizes throughout the year.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Develop students’ awareness of study opportunities in the different countries in order to recruit students to UG Partner Universities.

2. Follow up with students who show interest in studying in UG Partner Universities in order to convert enquiries into applications.

3. Provide advice on suitable universities and majors based on applicants’ previous academic performance and financial abilities.

4. Advise students on CVs, cover letters and interviews.

5. Perform admission functions by acquiring documents, completing applications and chasing offers.

6. Counsel, apply and enroll students as per set target by ensuring conversion from lead to application and to enrolment.

7. Openly communicate and regularly update students and parents on application and enrolment progress.

8. Develop strong and trustworthy relationships with Academic and Administration staff at Schools & Universities to facilitate the application and enrolment process.

9. Liaise with Partner Institutions to get up-to-date information about courses, applications, admission procedures and student advancement.

10. Provide visa support.

11. Maintain records of recruitment efforts per department guidelines.

12. Deliver regular reports on targets and compose a forecast for the next quarter.

13. Represent UG and Partner Universities at UG Education Fairs/info-sessions/School visits as well as at the local and partner’s Events.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Work Experience:

1. Bachelor’s Degree or above from an accredited institution. A degree obtained abroad is a plus.

2. 1-3 years’ proven track record of similar work experience in an agency.

3. Expert knowledge of Higher Education systems

4. Awareness of immigration regulations, specifically Student Visa, in the countries where UG has University Partners.
