- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on marine engines, propulsion systems, auxiliary machinery, and electrical equipment.
- Identify mechanical and electrical faults and troubleshoot system malfunctions.
- Overhaul and replace components, including pumps, turbines, generators, and HVAC systems.
System Monitoring and Diagnostics:
- Monitor the performance of engines, machinery, and other marine systems using specialized diagnostic tools and instruments.
- Conduct tests and analyze data to ensure systems are running efficiently and within safe operational parameters.
- Document findings and report potential issues to senior engineering staff.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with maritime safety regulations, environmental guidelines, and company policies.
- Assist in preparing vessels for inspection and certification by relevant maritime authorities.
- Participate in safety drills, risk assessments, and emergency response procedures.
Skills
