Role Overview
We are seeking a highly capable Senior Accountant to manage the accounting and financial affairs of a family office overseeing several private companies, real estate assets, and investment portfolios.
The role requires both technical expertise and practical execution, ensuring accurate reporting, structured controls, and full visibility over all financial matters. The selected candidate will report directly to the principal and serve as the main point of contact for auditors, banks, and business managers.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete accounting cycle for multiple entities (operating businesses, real estate, and investment accounts).
- Maintain accurate and timely financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, payables, receivables, and payroll.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports, summarizing performance, cash flow, and asset/liability positions.
- Track investment movements, dividends, interest income, and valuations across various asset classes.
- Handle banking matters, payments, transfers, and reconciliation of accounts across entities.
- Coordinate with external auditors and accountants to ensure smooth and timely year-end closing and audit completion.
- Assist with budgeting, cost tracking, and financial planning for the family office and related businesses.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information.
- Identify and implement improvements in financial controls, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
Skills
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (professional certification such as CPA/ACCA is an advantage).
- Minimum 5–8 years of accounting experience, preferably within family offices, holding structures, or diversified private companies.
- Strong command of accounting principles, audit coordination, and multi-entity management.
- Proficient in accounting systems; advanced Excel required.
- Excellent organizational and reporting skills, with high attention to detail.
- Strong sense of discretion, accountability, and ownership.
- Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus).
