Operational Responsibilities:•Prepare/ review designs/ drawing, related to Road Safety and prepare the detailed drawings to rectify identified issue(s), if any.•Ensure compliance with project requirements, safety/ other applicable regulations and codes, and economic feasibility in all designs made. •Coordinate with other Design Specialists in roads and asset affairs Engineers, in roads; on the review of set design specifications in relation to Road Safety. •Participate in Value Engineering workshops in parallel with the Roads Project teams to confirm construction/ design implementation technique is aligned to the design scheme/ sketches in relation to Road Safety. •Provide comments and recommendations on any issues identified in the design component related to Road Safety for team 1 as developed by the Design Engineers/ external Design Consultants, and to establish corrective actions where required.•Interpret drawings and specifications in relation to Road Safety, and issue supplementary details/ advice during the construction phase, when required.•Provide expert advice on Road Safety for team 1 and attend to clarifications, when needed.•Coordinate with project engineers to ensure that all designs’ Road Safety matters are attended to and planned designs are being implemented.•Work closely with the Engineering Design Advisor/Expert to ensure compliance with Ashghal Design Policies and Procedures.•Keep current with latest market trends and developments and stay abreast with current trends and leading practices in Engineering design/ approaches/ tools. •Keep the Design Engineers informed of significant issues that may jeopardize the achievement of Ashghal goals.
