We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager – Ready Mix to oversee day-to-day operational performance across batching plants, fleet logistics, production, and service delivery. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient coordination between departments, achieve operational targets, maintain high product quality, and provide excellent service to clients.This is a key operational leadership role responsible for the smooth functioning of the Ready Mix business and alignment with company objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership & Performance Management•Lead and supervise daily Ready Mix operations, including production, dispatch, logistics, QC, and site coordination.•Ensure operational efficiency, on-time deliveries, and optimal fleet and plant utilization.•Evaluate performance across operational units and recommend improvements to meet productivity and service targets.•Resolve daily operational challenges and ensure escalated issues are addressed promptly.Resource Planning & Workflow Optimization•Plan workforce, fleet, and plant capacity to meet customer demand and project timelines.•Oversee scheduling of production and logistics to ensure timely delivery of concrete.•Monitor resource usage to avoid bottlenecks, delays, or operational gaps.Customer & Stakeholder Management•Address customer inquiries and operational concerns professionally and promptly.•Coordinate major pours, high-volume deliveries, and project-specific requirements with contractors, consultants, and site engineers.•Ensure high customer satisfaction through consistent service quality.Team Coordination & Workforce Management•Supervise and support plant managers, dispatch teams, logistics supervisors, and QC supervisors.•Assist in recruitment, performance evaluations, training, and staff development.•Monitor discipline, attendance, and overall workforce effectiveness.Quality, Safety & Compliance•Ensure all operations comply with company policies, HSE standards, QCS requirements, and industry best practices.•Support QC teams in ensuring concrete quality meets specifications and standards.•Promote a safe working environment and address non-compliance issues immediately.Cost Control & Operational Efficiency•Recommend and implement cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality or service.•Optimize fleet routes, reduce idle time, and manage overtime and resource waste.•Ensure efficient procurement coordination for fuel, materials, and spare parts.Reporting & Administration•Prepare regular operational reports, KPIs, and performance dashboards for senior management.•Oversee client invoicing accuracy and coordinate with Finance on outstanding operational documentation.•Identify risk areas and recommend corrective action plans.
Education•Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related technical/operations field.Experience•Minimum 10 years in Ready Mix operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.•Strong experience in fleet management, production operations, dispatch, QC coordination, and site logistics.•GCC experience preferred; Qatar experience is a strong advantage.Skills & Competencies•Strong leadership and team management ability.•Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skills.•Ability to manage fast-paced, high-volume operational environments.•Strong understanding of Ready Mix production, batching, and delivery processes.•Good communication skills and customer engagement capability.•Experience in budgeting, cost control, and operational planning.
