We are seeking an experienced Head Pastry Chef to lead and manage the entire pastry department. The role involves overseeing menu creation, recipe development, daily production, quality control, and team management, while ensuring high standards of hygiene, food safety (HACCP), and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and implement new dessert, pastry, and baked-goods recipes.
- Oversee daily pastry production, ensuring consistency in quality, taste, and presentation.
- Manage all aspects of the pastry kitchen, including plating, displays, and showpieces.
- Ensure strict compliance with hygiene, sanitation, and HACCP standards.
- Lead, train, mentor, and motivate junior pastry chefs and kitchen staff.
- Plan staff schedules, allocate workloads, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Recruit and onboard pastry team members when required.
- Control food costs, manage inventory, minimize waste, and handle supplier coordination.
- Plan and cost pastry menus for different outlets.
- Handle customer feedback and resolve complaints related to pastry items.
Candidates with 5–10 years of experience in the UAE are preferred.
Applicants must be available in the UAE on a visit visa or residence permit and able to join immediately.
