The General Manager will assume full accountability for our facility management operations, client relationships, business development, and organizational growth.Core ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & Business Development•Set strategic direction in alignment with KBN Group Holding's corporate objectives and market opportunities•Drive business development targeting government entities, semi-government organizations, and large private sector clients.•Analyze market trends and competitive positioning to identify emerging opportunitiesOperational Excellence & Service Delivery•Oversee all facility management operations across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, civil works, cleaning, security, landscaping, and integrated FM services•Ensure consistent achievement of contractual KPIs and SLAs while maintaining exceptional quality standards•Design and execute annual preventive maintenance programs that optimize equipment reliability•Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to verify service delivery meets benchmarks•Implement continuous improvement methodologies to enhance operational efficiency•Ensure robust emergency response protocols and business continuity planningClient Partnership & Account Management•Serve as senior client interface for major accounts, building trusted advisor relationships•Lead quarterly and annual business reviews with performance data and strategic recommendations•Proactively identify client needs and translate them into service enhancements•Resolve escalated issues with diplomacy, ensuring client retention and satisfactionFinancial Management & P&L Accountability•Manage full profit and loss responsibility, delivering on revenue targets and profitability objectives•Prepare and manage annual budgets while implementing cost optimization strategies•Oversee financial operations including invoicing, forecasting, and reporting•Negotiate and structure pricing for new contracts, ensuring commercial viability•Make informed capital expenditure decisions regarding equipment and technology investmentsTeam Leadership & Organizational Development•Build and lead a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team spanning engineering, operations, and commercial functions•Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and service excellence•Provide coaching and mentorship to senior managers and emerging leaders•Implement performance management systems that drive individual and team success•Ensure appropriate organizational structure and succession planning to support growthCompliance, Quality & Risk Management•Ensure full compliance with Qatar labor laws, health and safety regulations, and industry best practices•Maintain all required licenses, permits, certifications, and regulatory documentation•Implement quality management systems aligned with ISO standards
We seek an accomplished facility management leader who combines deep technical knowledge with proven business leadership and a strong track record in the Qatar market.Educational Foundation•Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil), Facilities Management, or related technical discipline•Master's degree in Engineering Management, Business Administration (MBA), or related field highly preferredProfessional Experience•15+ years of progressive experience in facility management or integrated facilities services•Minimum 7-10 years in senior management positions with full P&L responsibility•Proven track record operating in Qatar or GCC region with deep understanding of local market dynamics and regulatory environment•Significant experience with government or semi-government clients, including successful navigation of tender processes•Experience managing teams of 200+ personnel across multiple sites and service disciplinesTechnical & Industry Knowledge•Comprehensive understanding of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire life safety, and building automation•Working knowledge of ERP systems and facility management platforms (CAFM, CMMS, BMS)•Understanding of quality management frameworks (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)•Knowledge of sustainability practices and energy efficiency strategiesMarket & Cultural Requirements•Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken) is mandatory•Arabic-speaking candidates with established networks in Qatar's business and government sectors strongly preferred•Deep understanding of Qatar's regulatory environment and government procurement processes•Established professional network within Qatar's facility management and construction sectorsProfessional Credentials•Certified Facility Manager (CFM) from IFMA or Facility Management Professional (FMP) highly preferred•LEED Accredited Professional, Green Associate, or GSAS certification highly preferred•NEBOSH International General Certificate, IOSH Managing Safely, or equivalent highly preferred•Project Management Professional (PMP) highly preferredAdditional Strategic & Operational Skills•Data-driven decision making supported by KPIs and performance metrics•Crisis management experience handling emergencies and service disruptions
