Role OverviewThe Projects Director will provide strategic leadership and governance for multiple large-scale, complex, and multi-disciplinary projects within a PMC/Consultancy environment. The role is responsible for ensuring successful project delivery in alignment with client objectives, contractual commitments, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.This position requires strong leadership, commercial acumen, and the ability to manage senior stakeholders, multidisciplinary teams, and high-value projects throughout the full project lifecycle.Key Responsibilities•Provide overall strategic direction and leadership for assigned projects from inception through completion•Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with approved scope, budget, schedule, quality, and risk parameters•Lead and manage senior project management teams, including Project Managers, Resident Engineers, and discipline leads•Act as the primary point of contact with clients, authorities, and key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and alignment•Oversee contract administration, commercial performance, claims strategy, and risk management in accordance with contractual frameworks (e.g., FIDIC)•Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, local authority requirements, HSE standards, and company policies•Establish project governance structures, reporting frameworks, and performance controls•Identify, mitigate, and manage project risks and issues proactively•Support business development initiatives, including proposal input, technical reviews, and client presentations•Build and maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business and long-term partnerships•Mentor and develop project leadership teams, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and collaboration
•Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or higher (Master’s degree preferred)•Extensive experience within a PMC / Consultancy environment on large, multi-disciplinary projects•Proven track record in managing major, complex, multi-disciplinary projects•Strong leadership, decision-making, and strategic planning capabilities•Excellent technical, commercial, coordination, and stakeholder management skills•In-depth knowledge of contract administration, risk management, and project controls•Familiarity with UAE regulations, local authority approval processes, and international best practices•Relevant professional certifications such as PMP, FIDIC, MRICS, or equivalent•Strong communication, reporting, and negotiation skills•Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in fast-paced, high-pressure environments•Immediate joiners preferred•Must be currently based in the UAE
