We are looking for a full-time remote Accountant with strong hands-on experience in UAE accounting regulations, including VAT and Corporate Tax compliance. Experience in the oil & gas and/or shipping/logistics industry is a strong advantage.

The ideal candidate will independently manage accounting operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and support management with accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain full sets of accounts in accordance with UAE accounting standards
Prepare, review and file monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Handle UAE VAT compliance:
VAT returns
VAT reconciliations
FTA compliance and record-keeping
Support UAE Corporate Tax compliance and reporting
Manage accounts payable and receivable
Bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring
Handle multi-currency transactions
Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and management as required
Maintain proper documentation for audits and regulatory inspections

Skills

Proven experience as an Accountant handling UAE-based companies

Strong knowledge of:

UAE VAT laws
UAE Corporate Tax regulations
IFRS (preferred)
Experience in oil & gas, shipping, or logistics industries (preferred)
Previous experience working with free zone or mainland UAE entities (preferred)

Experience using accounting software such as:

QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, Oracle, or similar

Ability to work independently in a remote setup

Excellent attention to detail and compliance

Strong communication skills in English
