• Developing early-stage cost estimates, detailed budgets, and financial forecasts toensure commercial efficiency.• Advising on and implementing procurement strategies that balance time, cost,quality, and client requirements.• Leading the full tendering process, evaluating bids, negotiating main and subcontractagreements, and ensuring alignment with BK Gulf standards.• Managing variations, claims, and potential disputes with robust documentation andproactive mitigation strategies.• Ensuring full compliance with contractual obligations throughout the projectlifecycle.• Preparing accurate commercial and financial reports for senior management andclients.• Identifying, evaluating, and mitigating commercial, financial, and contractual risks.• Serving as the primary commercial point of contact for clients, consultants,subcontractors, and internal teams.• Leading, mentoring, and developing commercial staff, including quantity surveyorsand procurement specialists.• Supporting pre-bid activities, including proposal preparation, commercial inputs, andclient presentations to secure new projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Mechanical Engineering, ElectricalEngineering, or a related field.• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in commercial management within theconstruction sector, with proven experience delivering major data centre projects(mandatory).• Professional certifications such as MRICS or FIDIC accreditation preferred.• Strong knowledge of construction processes, contractual frameworks (particularlyFIDIC), and regional market pricing.• Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.• Strong financial acumen, cost control, and budgeting expertise.• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to resolve complex contractual andcommercial matters.
