This dual-role leader will be instrumental in building and scaling a financially efficient and compliant business, managing external and internal stakeholders, and ensuring financial discipline, governance, and strategic alignment with Group objectives. The ideal candidate will bring deep financial expertise, leadership acumen, and Middle East experience, especially in fundraising, banking relations, investor management, regulatory compliance, and business control.Key Responsibilities:1. Strategic Financial Leadership•Drive the financial strategy in alignment with the Group’s long-term growth and profitability targets.•Prepare and implement a 5–10 year business and financial plan, covering capex planning, return on investment (ROI), cost control, and capital structuring.•Partner with the CEO/Board on strategic decisions related to investments, partnerships, expansion, and divestments in KSA.2. Fundraising & Capital Management•Lead end-to-end fundraising initiatives – debt, equity, and mezzanine – from local and regional banks, financial institutions, and private investors.•Structure, negotiate, and execute financing deals including term loans, lease lines, project financing, and working capital limits.•Optimize capital deployment, interest cost, and debt-equity balance to improve the entity’s return on capital employed (ROCE).3. Controllership & Governance•Set up and lead the finance, accounting, and compliance function in accordance with local Saudi Arabian laws, IFRS, and Group accounting policies.•Establish robust internal controls, budgeting processes, financial reporting systems, and performance tracking mechanisms.•Ensure tax compliance (ZATCA), statutory filings, and timely audits with clean audit outcomes.4. Banking, Treasury, and Investor Relations•Manage banking relationships with top-tier KSA and GCC banks; handle loan documentation, fund drawdowns, and compliance covenants.•Supervise cash flow, FX exposure, fund utilization, and liquidity planning.•Liaise with shareholders, investors, joint venture partners (if any), and regulatory bodies to present financial performance and strategic direction.5. Commercial & Business Operations•Partner with the Sales, Projects, and Operations teams to drive pricing strategies, commercial contracting, client credit policies, and revenue realization.•Provide commercial oversight for large customer contracts, vendor arrangements, and cross-border transactions.•Monitor project profitability, asset utilization (cranes & equipment), and cost optimization across the value chain.6. Leadership & Team Building•Recruit, train, and mentor a local finance and commercial team capable of running day-to-day operations with minimal supervision.•Instill a performance culture based on accountability, transparency, and results.7. Reporting & MIS•Deliver accurate and timely monthly MIS, Board Packs, financial KPIs, and dashboards.•Lead the annual budgeting process and variance analysis across revenue, OPEX, and capex metrics.•Coordinate with Group Finance in India for consolidated reporting and intercompany transactions.Qualifications & Experience:?Education: Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, CMA or MBA (Finance) from a reputed institution.?Experience: 12–20 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, with at least 5+ years in the GCC / Middle East, preferably in Saudi Arabia.?Proven track record of leading finance in capital-intensive industries such as heavy equipment rental, construction, infrastructure, logistics, or oil & gas.?Demonstrated success in fundraising, managing investor relations, handling banks and local regulators.?Prior experience in setting up a greenfield entity or finance function in the Middle East will be highly preferred.Key Competencies:?Strong understanding of Middle East regulatory, tax, and legal frameworks (ZATCA, SAGIA/MISA, GAZT, etc.)?Hands-on expertise in financial modeling, project finance, IFRS reporting, ERP systems (SAP).?Leadership presence and cross-functional collaboration abilities.?High integrity, risk awareness, and commitment to corporate governance.?Willingness to relocate to Riyadh, KSA and work in a start-up like, fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.Preferred:?Arabic proficiency is an added advantage but not mandatory.?Experience dealing with joint venture structures or sovereign wealth funds (SWFs).
