We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Restaurant Cashier to join our team in Beirut, Lebanon. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing cash transactions, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant's financial processes. You will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while ensuring that all transactions are accurately processed. Your ability to handle cash, credit, and debit transactions efficiently will contribute to the overall customer experience. As a Restaurant Cashier, you will also assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the cashier area and may be required to support other restaurant functions as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring that all payments are recorded correctly.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests, answering questions, and resolving any issues related to billing or payments.
- Maintain an organized and clean cashier station, ensuring that all necessary supplies are stocked and readily available.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions, including issuing receipts and processing refunds when necessary.
- Collaborate with kitchen and wait staff to ensure seamless service and timely order processing.
- Assist in training new cashiers and staff members on the cash register system and customer service protocols.
- Monitor cash drawer and register for accuracy, reporting any discrepancies to management immediately.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding cash handling and customer service.
- Participate in regular team meetings to discuss service improvements and operational efficiency.
- Support other restaurant duties as needed, including food preparation and cleaning tasks.
