1. Design & Planning•Prepare engineering designs, drawings, calculations, and technical specifications for airport infrastructure projects.•Designing, building, and maintaining airport facilities, including runways, taxiways, terminal buildings, electronic systems, and other support structures.•Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and assessments for new developments or rehabilitation projects.•Contribute to master planning and infrastructure expansion strategies.•Evaluate engineering proposals and ensure technical compliance with airport design standards.2. Construction Supervision•Oversee and supervise on-site civil works to ensure compliance with relevant International and local standards. •Monitor contractor performance, workmanship, project progress, and safety requirements.•Review and approve contractor submissions including shop drawings, method statements, ITPs, materials, and test results.•Identify construction issues and coordinate prompt technical resolutions.3. Project Management•Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control activities.•Coordinate with consultants, contractors, authorities, and internal departments to ensure smooth project execution.•Participate in technical meetings, design reviews, and progress discussions.•Prepare progress reports, technical documentation, and project status updates.•Assist in procurement processes including technical evaluations and scope preparation.4. Quality, Compliance & Safety•Ensure all engineering activities are relevant to International and local Standards•Perform quality checks, inspections, and testing for pavement strength, materials, compaction, and surface performance.•Ensure adherence to safety regulations and risk-management practices on site.•Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and compliance reports.5. Maintenance & Asset Management•Conduct inspections and condition assessments of airport pavements, utilities, and infrastructure assets.•Recommend maintenance strategies, rehabilitation works, and improvement initiatives.•Support the development of pavement maintenance programs and asset management plans.•Monitor infrastructure performance and propose solutions to enhance efficiency and lifespan.
Education & Experience•Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master’s Degree is an advantage).•3–7 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably within airport or airfield infrastructure projects.•Experience in airfield pavement design, construction, or maintenance is highly desirable.•Professional engineering certification (e.g., PE, CEng) is an advantage.Technical Skills•Strong understanding of relevant International and local standards, as well as applicable airport design requirements.•Knowledge of pavement engineering, soil mechanics, drainage systems, and airfield construction materials.•Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS projects, Primervera and other relevant engineering software.•Ability to interpret engineering drawings, surveys, specifications, and technical documents.•Familiarity with project management tools and documentation practices.Soft Skills•Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.•Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.•Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines.•High attention to detail and strong commitment to quality and safety.•Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate across departments.
