The Estimation Mechanical Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and timely cost estimates for mechanical works within oil & gas EPC/EPCM projects. This role involves analyzing project specifications, performing quantity take-offs, evaluating vendor/ subcontractor quotations, and developing detailed cost proposals that support bidding, budgeting, and project planning activities.

Required Qualifications & Skills
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5–15 years of experience in cost estimation within the oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy industrial construction industry.
- Experience with EPC/EPCM projects (upstream, midstream, downstream preferred).
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems: piping, equipment installation, tanks, vessels, compressors, pumps, HVAC, firefighting systems.
- Experience with Shutdown/Turnaround Projects
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in estimation software/tools (e.g., CES, Candy, CostOS, Excel advanced).
- Strong knowledge of ASME, API, ASTM, and relevant industry codes & standards.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Familiarity with WBS structures, cost breakdowns, and scheduling interfaces.
