The Assistant Chef supports the Head Chef in preparing and presenting healthy, high-quality meals while maintaining strict hygiene and food safety standards. This role requires efficiency, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of nutritious cooking methods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of healthy dishes according to standardized recipes and portion control
- Support daily kitchen operations, including food prep, cooking, and plating
- Ensure all food is prepared following health, safety, and hygiene regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
- Help with ingredient preparation, storage, and stock rotation
- Follow dietary guidelines (low-fat, low-sugar, high-protein, etc.) as required
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and support the team when needed
