A leading utilities organization in the UAE is seeking an experienced Network Planning Manager – Electricity to lead the strategic planning, development, and optimization of the electricity distribution network. This is a senior technical role responsible for ensuring reliability, capacity growth, and long-term infrastructure planning in line with national energy objectives.Key Responsibilities•Develop short-, medium-, and long-term electricity network planning strategies.•Conduct load forecasting, capacity analysis, and demand growth modelling.•Lead network expansion projects, reinforcements, and system upgrades.•Ensure compliance with local regulatory standards, safety, and technical codes.•Coordinate with engineering, operations, asset management, and capital planning teams.•Prepare technical reports, investment justifications, and planning recommendations to senior management.
To be considered for this role, you need to meet the following criteria:•Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).•Minimum 10 years of experience in electricity network planning or power distribution.•Strong expertise in load flow studies, network modelling tools, and utility planning systems.•Experience within large utilities, infrastructure, or energy sector organizations in the GCC is highly desirable.
