Job Summary:
The Specialist in Paediatrics will provide comprehensive medical care for infants, children, and adolescents while contributing to the education and training of junior doctors and clinical staff. The role demands strong clinical expertise, a patient-centred approach, and commitment to delivering excellence and Barakah (blessings) through compassionate care and knowledge sharing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and manage paediatric patients in outpatient, inpatient, and emergency settings.
- Conduct thorough assessments, order investigations, and develop evidence-based treatment plans.
- Administer immunizations and preventive healthcare programs for children.
- Manage acute and chronic illnesses, ensuring safe and ethical practice.
- Participate in child development programs and counselling for parents.
- Teach and supervise medical students, interns, and residents; conduct clinical demonstrations and case discussions.
- Contribute to continuing medical education (CME) sessions and departmental teaching activities.
- Participate in clinical audits, morbidity & mortality meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date medical documentation in line with QCHP standards.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and patient safety guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- MBBS / MD or equivalent degree in Paediatrics from a recognized university.
- Valid medical license in the country of origin.
- Minimum 4 years of post-qualification experience, including teaching or academic involvement in a recognized medical institution.
- Eligibility for Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners (QCHP) specialist license.
- DataFlow and Prometric (QCHP) verification required before employment.
