The role involves managing commercial operations, developing profitable sales and trading opportunities, maintaining inventories, and supporting market development across regional and international markets.The ideal candidate combines commercial acumen, market analysis skills, and hands-on experience in physical petrochemical products, working closely with trading, logistics, and operations teams to maximize value and profitability.Key ResponsibilitiesSales & TradingManage and develop a profitable sales and trading portfolio through sound commercial strategies and disciplined position managementActively identify and pursue new trading and sales opportunities to support business growthNegotiate sales contracts, pricing, and commercial terms with clientsInitiate and lead marketing and trading activities with third-party suppliers to maximize marginsSupport physical and derivatives traders with market research and commercial insightsMarket Analysis & ReportingMonitor market trends, supply & demand dynamics, pricing patterns, and product qualities in the global petrochemical industryConduct quantitative, qualitative, and technical market analysis for crude oil, refined products, and petrochemicalsPrepare daily, weekly, and monthly market reports for internal stakeholdersAct as an internal technical and analytical reference across commercial teamsOperations & Supply ChainAdminister internal purchasing, inventory, and logistics systemsMaintain accurate inventory records at warehouses, including residues and surplus volumesMonitor order statuses and manage the full order cycle from purchase to deliveryWork closely with logistics and operations teams to ensure efficient end-to-end executionIdentify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers in line with company requirementsRelationship ManagementBuild and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholdersEnsure efficient communication across commercial, logistics, and operations functionsLead regional trading and sales activities and expand the company’s footprint in existing and new MENA markets
Requirements & QualificationsExperienceMinimum 3–5 years of experience in petrochemical or chemical trading and distributionProven track record in physical petrochemical products trading, both regionally and internationallyPrior experience as a Sales Representative in the chemical or petrochemical industrySkills & CompetenciesStrong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret trends, data, and market signalsSolid understanding of domestic and international petroleum and petrochemical marketsKnowledge of refinery production, shipping documentation, logistics, and trade financeExcellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skillsStrong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracyAbility to prioritize, manage time effectively, and work under pressureRelationship-oriented mindset with openness to feedbackEducation & LanguageBS/BA in Chemistry or a related field is preferred but not mandatoryFluent English (spoken and written) is requiredArabic is a strong advantagePersonal AttributesCommercially driven with a proactive, solution-oriented mindsetPositive attitude, punctual, and reliableStrong sense of ownership and accountability
