The HSSE Manager will serve as the single appointed authority for all Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) matters across all project zones. The role acts as the management representative for HSSE, ensuring full compliance with company policies, client requirements, and local regulations while driving continuous improvement in HSSE performance.Key Responsibilities:Leadership & Management• Act as the single HSSE representative serving all project zones.• Represent management on all HSSE-related matters at project and corporate levels.• Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to HSSE teams and site personnel.HSSE Strategy & Compliance• Develop, implement, and maintain HSSE policies, procedures, and systems in line with company standards, client requirements, and regulatory obligations.• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, international standards, and project-specific HSSE requirements.• Lead and manage HSSE audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.Client & Stakeholder Coordination• Maintain regular and effective liaison with consultants, clients, and their management teams.• Attend meetings and provide HSSE updates, reports, and technical input as required.• Act as the primary point of contact for HSSE discussions with external stakeholders.Risk Management & Emergency Preparedness• Lead risk assessments, hazard identification, and mitigation planning.• Develop, implement, and maintain emergency response and contingency plans.• Ensure emergency drills and preparedness programs are conducted regularly.Training & Awareness• Oversee HSSE training programs for staff, contractors, and site personnel.• Promote a strong safety culture across all project levels.• Ensure competency requirements are met for all HSSE-related roles.Monitoring, Reporting & Continuous Improvement• Monitor HSSE performance and track KPIs, incidents, near misses, and corrective actions.• Prepare and submit regular HSSE performance reports to management and clients.• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance HSSE standards and outcomes.
• Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in a managerial HSSE role, preferably in large infrastructure, construction, or marine projects.• Certifications in NEBOSH IGC (mandatory) and Safety Diploma (mandatory).• Affiliation with international Occupational Health & Safety (OSH) organizations is required.• Bachelor’s degree (Graduate) or Engineering qualification in a relevant field.• English (spoken and written) – mandatory.
