To support the sector directors and functional experts (in coordination with investment principals) in development of the sector strategy value creationKey AccountabilitiesStrategic:o Support sector directors in reviewing portfolio assets’ annual strategy, business plan and budgeto Analyze portfolio assets’ performance compared to regional and global benchmarks from sectorial and functional perspectiveso Support sector directors and functional experts in defining sector strategy and value creation plans for portfolio assetsAsset Management:o Support in the development of portfolio management framework to track, evaluate, analyze, optimize and report the performance of portfolio assetso Liaise with portfolio assets to collect required data and figures to analyze the entity’s financial and operational performance. Report on a regular basis the performance of portfolio assets (financial and operational) and investments within the respective sector and track progress against defined value creation planso Support sector directors in identifying potential cross-sector synergies among portfolio assets in addition to synergies within sectoro Support sector director and functional experts in execution of required value creation programs (e.g. sales excellence, cost reduction, organizational restructuring) through program managemento Support sector directors and CIO in preparation of reports for the Management Investment Committee and BoD presentationso Prepare required analysis and reports in order to assist assigned portfolio assets’ BoD members in carrying out their dutieso Develop and maintain effective relationships with portfolio assetso Support portfolio management team on any ad-hoc analysisM&A:o Support in the development of a project pipeline for delivery of the sector strategyo Undertake analysis of prospective targets/businesses to support M&A processeso Development of documentation to support the target evaluation and approval processo Support with target due diligence and oversight of external service providerso Development of investment models derived from numerous data sources and subsequent financial analysis
•Bachelor’s degree in business administration/ accounting/ finance or economics•Master’s degree in business administration/ accounting/ finance or economics is preferred•Strategic planning•Performance management•Financial acumen (ability to conduct market assessment, financial analysis and valuation)•Synthesis of complex or diverse data•Strategic frameworks, concepts, practices, and processes•Relationship building and interpersonal skills•Proficiency in the English language (and Arabic preferred)•A minimum of 5 years of experience in Private Equity, Management Consulting or Corporate Development•Experience in relevant sectors is highly recommended•Experience in UAE/MENA markets is highly recommended
